Arts2Art embarked on an extensive research phase to understand the essence of Jeddah and the aspirations of the Smart City project. Engaging with local artists, architects, and city planners, the agency aimed to capture the unique cultural tapestry of Jeddah while aligning with the project’s technological objectives.
The animation theme was conceptualized as a visual journey through the city’s past, present, and future. Drawing inspiration from Jeddah’s rich history as a vibrant trade hub, Arts2Art incorporated elements of the city’s iconic architecture, traditional art forms, and the Red Sea’s breathtaking natural beauty.
To provide a deeper understanding of the Smart City project, Arts2Art took a unique approach by conducting exclusive interviews with key individuals involved in its development. The interviews featured influential figures from Jeddah Municipality, urban planning experts, technology innovators, and representatives from Huawei Telecommunications.
These interviews delved into the specific components of the Smart City initiative, exploring how technology and innovation were being harnessed to address urban challenges. Stakeholders shared their visions for a sustainable and technologically advanced Jeddah, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
